The Assistive Technology of Alaska (ATLA) connects Alaskans who have disabilities with the tools they need in order to learn, work, play, and participate in community life safely and independently.

ATLA offers training as well as no-cost equipment demonstrations and short term loans. We also provide funding, develop partnerships with state agencies and organizations, and publish resource materials and event calendars. An used equipment recycling program is also coordinated by ATLA. 

ATLA staff 

ATLA staff does not advocate for or recommend specific devices or software programs.  They help consumers make “informed choices” by providing them with information about different technologies that meet their needs and skills, then giving them an opportunity to try out some of their choices in at their demonstration center.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about ATLA and some of the services and products we have to offer.  Proceeds from purchases made through ATLA go back into supporting Alaska's only comprehensive Assistive Technology Supplier and Service Provider in the State.  By using ATLA, you are supporting ATLA's goal of providing all Alaskans with the technology they need to achieve their educational, vocational, and independent living goals.

ATLA ANNOUNCEMENTS

ATLA has recently remodeled their office space to provide better service and a more spacious environment for everyone.  Stop and take a look!  Watch for our invitation to an upcoming "Grand Re-Opening Celebration" in the spring!

We will be sponsoring a 3-day strand on assistive technology at the 2008 Alaska Statewide Special Education Conference February 18th - 20th at the Sheraton in Anchorage. A full list of our presentations and hands on labs are available by clicking on the following link: ASSEC 2008 - AT Strand
